How far in advance should we book our Calgary family session?
I recommend booking your session 6–8 weeks ahead of your ideal session date. My calendar fills quickly, especially during the summer and fall months, so earlier is always better. I do take bookings up to 9 months in advance so it’s never too early to book. Holiday sessions typically book out by September, so plan ahead if you're hoping for Christmas portraits!
What should we wear for our session?
Every portrait session includes a personalized styling consultation, where I’ll guide you through the entire session process. I absolutely love timeless, coordinated palettes that feel authentic to your family — beautiful, but never overdone.
How much does a Calgary family photography session cost?
Every session begins with a $400 creative fee, due at the time of booking along with a signed booking contract. This creative fee reserves your session date in my calendar, includes your pre-session styling consultation, professional portrait photography session and your portrait reveal appointment. At your private portrait reveal, you'll review the images from your session and decide on which images you would like to purchase. Most families will invest between $1,500 and $3,000 in their image collection — which does include both print and digital products. Please contact the studio for image collection details and pricing.
How long is a typical family photography session?
Most family sessions run between 60 and 90 minutes, enough time to capture a beautiful variety of moments without anyone reaching their limit, especially little ones!
Can we include extended family members or pets in our session?
Absolutely! Grandparents, cousins, and beloved furry family members are always welcome. Just let the studio know in advance so we can plan accordingly.
