Welcome to my website, I'm so glad you stopped by! My name is Jillian and I am a portrait photographer based in Calgary, Alberta. This amazing journey started for me back in 2006 due to my passion for creative photography and my love for children. I feel blessed that my days are filled with capturing and sharing my images with clients, family & friends. I was blessed enough to find and marry the man of my dreams and together we have two incredible boys who fill our days with so much love and happiness.
After the birth of our second son and many long days & nights studying photography and visual design at both the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology and the University of Calgary, Jillian Faulkner Photography came to life and was incorporated in October 2010. As you browse through my portfolio, I hope you get a sense of the passion and creativity I bring to each project as well as my commitment to providing my clients with beautiful photographs.
I am a strong believer in printing images. There is nothing better than family remembering cherished moments together when they pass by their framed prints in the hallways throughout their home or enjoying them beautifully displayed as wall art above the fireplace mantle. These tangible, hold in your hand, prints can be treasured and looked at by future generations for years to come and I want that for all of my clients. I would love the opportunity to connect with you so that I can tell your families story through beautiful imagery displayed throughout your home! I can’t wait to meet you and your family and create wonderful memories for you.
A Few of My Favourite Things
When I'm not in the studio or on location with my camera, I love spending time with my family and close friends entertaining in our home and sharing stories over delicious food and a great bottles of Italian wine. Any chance I get the opportunity to travel and explore new places I am always up for the adventure. I find travelling to new places allows me the opportunity to see the world from a different perspective and I find many times that I draw inspiration from being in new environments. During those few but important quiet, restful times I can easily be found writing in my journal (I'm old school), nothing better than writing down my thoughts with pen and paper and allowing my creativity to overflow onto the pages!
