Embracing diversity and spreading love! The 2023 Calgary Pride Parade Festival ran this year on September 2nd for the 18+ Pride community and an all ages party and Pride parade on September 3rd starting on 9th Ave in the Calgary core and working it’s way to the main Calgary Pride event location at Price’s Island Park.

The Pride@Blakes members in Calgary with Blakes, Cassels and Grayson LLP took part in the Calgary Pride Parade this weekend alongside clients, colleagues, family and friends. The morning started with a beautiful breakfast from Urbane Culinary, face paining for all the attendees and multiple photo opportunities infront of the incredible Pride Balloon wall. Gorgeous Blakes gift bags were filled with Pride flags, candy and extra goodies to enjoy while walking the Pride parade route. The team was dressed in multi colour Pride t-shirts with the Blakes logo on the front, fun was truly had by all! I do take on a handful of special event photography projects each year here in Calgary. My experience photographing child, family and business portraits brings a slighting different style and look to my special event photos which many of my clients are drawn to.
