Custom Styled Portrait Photography Sessions
Jillian Faulkner Photography is a licensed and insured boutique portrait photography studio located in southwest Calgary, Alberta. My studio is known for its exceptional newborn, child and family photography services. Since October 2010, Jillian Faulkner Photography has been offering styled maternity photography, newborn photography, baby photography, toddler photography, child photography, teen photography, family portrait photography and corporate headshot photography sessions in studio, outdoors and on-location.
When clients arrive at the studio, they will find the studio environment to be a warm and inviting space, fully stocked with whatever they might need for their photo shoot. Amenities throughout this spacious studio include cozy seating, an intimate viewing area, a private room for changing, a dedicated newborn photography space separate from where couples and families are photographed, various dresses for children & maternity clients as well as newborn props and accessories.
Dedicated Newborn photography studio space
The studio has a dedicated newborn photography area where I will capture beautiful images of your newborn baby. I do carry a variety of wraps, knits layers, vegan furs, bonnets and headbands that can be used during your newborn session. I continue to bring in new props and layers on an ongoing basis to keep images looking fresh and unique. I also have a great selection of backdrops and floor drops when using different newborn props. The studio is fully cleaned and sanitized before and after every session. All props (including camera and lighting equipment) are fully disinfected and all fabrics are washed after each use to help prevent the spread of any possible germs.
Private changing room stocked with ALL THE essentials
Inside the studio you will also find a private room for freshening up. Whether you need to change into an alternate outfit, touch up your hair and make-up or change your baby’s diaper, this room is fully stocked with whatever you might need. It includes a full length mirror, changing pad, hand sanitizer, baby wipes, baby towels, newborn diapers, feminine products, hair products, lint rollers, bobby pins, elastics, eye glass cleaner, a hand-held steamer, clothing rack and anything else you might need to freshen up prior to or during your photography session.
I do offer a collection of tutu dresses, crowns, tiaras and headpieces available for little girls age 18 months to 8 years to wear durning their photo shoot. These dresses and accessories are perfect for glitter sessions, birthday sessions or for a princess themed photo shoot. Who doesn’t like to get all dressed up and feel like a princess?!!
seating area & Family photography studio space
My studio has a dedicated space for photographing individual, couple and family portraits. I do offer a variety of cool and warm backdrops & floor drops to select from as well as themed sets that are used for limited edition photo shoots. There is a large seating area for families to relax during the photo session as well as a bar filled with healthy snacks, Nespresso coffee (both regular and decaf), organic teas along with flat & sparkling water. I do have a large bin of toys to help keep younger siblings occupied while I am photographing parents alone or with their siblings. This intimate and comfortable seating area is also where you will have your viewing and ordering appointment. This appointment is booked for approximately 10 days after your session date. At this appointment you will have the opportunity to view all the best images from your session and the option to order print and digital products of the images you love most!
